Rules

Each week a fixed slate of spreads is published. Everyone plays the same numbers, whenever they submit. Pick exactly five teams against those spreads and star exactly one as your best bet.

• A team may be used once per week. Across weeks, reuse freely.
• You may not take both sides of the same game.
• Every published spread ends in .5, so a push is impossible — every game has a winner against the number.

• Correct pick: 1 point
• Correct best bet: 2 points — it replaces the 1, so the bonus is +1
• Perfect week, all five correct: +2
• An incorrect best bet costs nothing. It simply scores zero.

The most available in a week is 8. Seven is unreachable: a perfect week always contains a correct best bet, so the fifth correct pick brings both bonuses with it.

• The weekly deadline is Sunday 1:00 PM ET.
• A game played before that locks at its own kickoff. Thursday night, Saturday, and the 9:30am London games all close early.
• A game that has kicked off disappears from the pick form. You cannot pick it, and you will not see it offered.
• If you already picked an early game, that pick freezes at kickoff and carries into every later submission. The rest of your set stays editable until 1:00.

Submit as often as you like before the deadline. The latest set in time is the one that counts — sets are replaced, never merged. Every submission is timestamped and kept, which is what settles any dispute about who got in on time.

A set that breaks any rule above is rejected in full and scores 0 for the week. The form will not let you submit one, and the server checks again on arrival. All decisions rest with the commissioner.

In a multi-way tie the tiebreakers are applied in order, players who lose one drop a slot, and the next is applied to whoever is still level. Perfect weeks are not a tiebreaker: if points, correct picks and best bets all match, perfect weeks are necessarily equal too.
